(1) Robofest 2011 Team Registration is Open

12th annual Robofest 2011 season kicked-off. Coach and Team registration is open on the web at www.robofest.net. We have also posted a Zip file containing all of the important documents for this season, including the PowerPoint presentation from the Kick Off meetings on the website.

 

For prospective coaches who missed kick-off meetings, an identical presentation will be held on Jan 8, 2011, 4:00pm ~ 5:30pm (EST) in the room M218 in the Buell Management Building on the campus of LTU in Michigan. Anyone can participate in the meeting online using Wimba. The direct link for the Wimba meeting will be on our website at www.robofest.net.

 

(2) Special RoboParade Opportunity

All RoboParade Teams since 2006 -- you are invited to the following special Robofest / RoboParade events in January 2011: The North American Auto Show and Somerset Mall Robotics Event.� Please follow this link for more information: www.robofest.net/roboParade.htm

(3) Workshops for Registered Robofest Teams

Once again, Robofest is offering a series of programming workshops throughout January and early February 2011. The workshops are FREE to registered Robofest teams, and reservations are required to attend. Programming instruction will be provided for RobotC, NXT-G, Java, and Lejos Java. (4) Wanted: Additional Robofest 2011 Site Hosts

Robofest is seeking to expand hosting opportunities in the East Coast States and Central States of the US, as well as in Europe and Africa for the 2011 Competition Season.  Qualifying Competition Sites are needed in late February through April 2 of 2011. Interested individuals, organizations, or schools should contact Robofest office at [email protected] or check out www.robofest.net and click on the *For Site Hosts* link.

 

(5) Advanced Learning Opportunity for NXT Instructors

Wayne County RESA in Michigan is hosting an advanced NXT workshop for NXT Instructors.� If you are interested in this opportunity and have taught NXT for at least six months, please follow the link below for more information:

(6) Robofest is Seeking Sponsors for 2011 Competition
